The staff are exceptional! Very welcoming, helpful and fun to have a chat with and the food is very good with great variety. The owner is a top chap and has done a great job with building this isolated resort with the local community. Make sure to have a beer or two with him when he's around.There's mangroves just around the corner and if you feel to paddle a bit further out you can reach cathedral cave (about 4kms) on one of the free kayaks they offer. Great place if you are looking for some calm and quiet from the usual crowded places and enjoy an amazing view and drinks in the pool! Highly recommended.

Simply astonishing! Big shout-out to Gigi for taking care of any detail! We were lucky to be in the Honeymoon Suite - the view is simply amazing, the room is gorgeous in every single detail, the breakfast served at the private balcony is delicious and beautifully displayed, the dinners with tables set on the beach are extremely romantic - the decor of the tables is meticulous. The stuff and service is beyond any expectation! The beach is super crowded due to all the "sardines-tour-boats" (mass-tourism tours that arrive from El Nido Town), but the area right in front of Vellago remains private the entire day! The corals are still pretty (not amazing, but nice variety) and we got lucky in spotting monkeys while swimming to the adjacent beach! That was something totally unexpected considering how crowded El Nido area is. It was really hard to leave Vellago and go back to reality!

Tre flotte basseng med hver sin vibe. Overraskende få folk og aldri kamp om plassene. Nydelig utsikt fra bassenget ved restauranten. Inne i El Nido får man ikke sett solnedgangen, men det gjør man her og gjør det ekstra fint ved solnedgangstid. Veldig vennlig personale. Man kan hentes/kjøres til stranda ved el nido by, men det er også mulig å gå. Et veldig rolig hotell. Helt stille etter kl. 22. Du får mye for pengene og vi bor her gjerne igjen!
