Situé à 47 km du musée japonais Ukiyo-e, le Kamikochi Nishi-itoya Mountain lodge propose un hébergement avec un balcon, un jardin et un salon commun. Amazing ryokan stay. Property is really nice and is well prepared for international tourists. Staff is super nice and helpful. You really feel at ease and relaxed. Food is amazing!

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Personnel très sympathique, jovial et arrangeant. Les futons étaient confortable et l’établissement très propre. Le meilleur des 3 Ryokans que j’ai fait durant mon séjour.

Le Senjukaku propose des hébergements traditionnels de style japonnais au charme historique. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was accommodating and the facilities were perfect.

L'Hotel Fuki no Mori vous accueille à 20 minutes de route de la gare JR de Nagiso, grâce à son service de navette gratuit. A beautiful luxury hotel set in forest outside Tsumago, with hotel shuttle bus access. Everything was perfect- from the warm welcome, being conducted to our room, shown the onsen and dining room, where breakfast and dinner were exceptional (in Keisei style and well worth the additional charge). It was a most relaxing stay after our Magome to Tsumago walk- 6 hours in drenching rain- but still very beautiful to be again on this marvellous walk.

Situé à 7 minutes à pied de la gare de Yudanaka, le Yorozuya propose des bains de source chaude, un bain à remous et des chambres de style japonais avec une terrasse privée et une salle de bains... The ryokan is very well organized, everyone is focused on providing a superior customer experience. I selected Yorozuya because of its beautiful onsen but I came away with outstanding memories of the kind and helful staff, the amazing breakfast and dinner experience.

Situé à seulement 5 minutes à pied du sanctuaire historique de Togakushi, l'Oshi Ryokan propose un hébergement traditionnel dans la paisible région montagneuse, où les pèlerins sont habitués. Tout était extraordinaire. Le couple de propriétaires est aux petits soins et la cuisine est délicieuse. Je n'y ai passé que deux nuits mais j'étais triste de devoir partir.

Situé à seulement 10 minutes de route du parc aux singes de Jigokudani, le Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya propose des hébergements de style japonais aménagés avec simplicité et dotés d'une connexion Wi-Fi... Akahira, the host, was the warmest and most thoughtful host we've met. the hotel has been with his family for 3 generations and it's amazing how the entire place is well maintained, unique from modern hotels, and genuine. We enjoyed the facilities, specially the onsen, and the traditional Japanese night wear. Highly recommend this place!

Situé à 3 minutes à pied de la station de ski de Nozawa Onsen, le Kadowakikan propose un accès skis aux pieds, un bain de source chaude et une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite. I enjoyed everything about this stay. The room was very cozy, and their was an onsen inside the guest house as well. The main thing I wanna point out is the service - Kadowaki-san was such a fantastic host, helping with gear rental, recommendations, and general inquiries. It was very nice to talk to as well and very efficient with Google Translator :D. I was in Japan for 2 weeks, and this was by ease the best place I stayed at. Will definitely be back to this place and highly recommend it.

Situé à 5 minutes à pied de la gare de Yudanaka, le Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan propose des hébergements de style japonais avec connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et télévision à écran plat, des bains thermaux... The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.
