    This hotel is grossly over-rated.. our room booked had few windows.. no ability to boil water.. parking was hugely inconvenient.. why should anyone hand over car keys so the hotel staff could move your vehicles around. Never again.. the best bit about this hotel was that Good Stuff was very close nearby for a proper breakfast & leaving after two nights was a blessing. Don't even think about it!

    Pro: Close to The Pier, retail and eateries. Small cute hotel. Friendly staff Con: no restaurant or Cafe, just morning coffee bar. Must request room service 24 hours in advance. City View rooms very inudated with street noise.

    The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept.

    The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Beautiful scenery! The one major drawback back is that the restrooms were closed all except the one by the pier and there are not enough of them along the beach.

    Great place!

    Great place! It's away from the city hussle, lots of places to go out and eat and drink at all times. The beach is perfect, also lots of volleyball fields for everyone to come and play. With a bike you can go all the way up to Santa Monica in a reasonable time.

    Hermosa Beach is a great place for a 4 night stay if you...

    Hermosa Beach is a great place for a 4 night stay if you enjoy a clean sandy beach, plentiful restaurants and bars, close proximity to nearby towns and beaches. We had a fabulous dinner at MB Post Restaurant in Manhattan Beach which is only about 10 min Lyft ride. Super easy to get around on foot or by bike. Parking can be a challenge, so make sure you have parking available at your hotel or your rental. We traveled in October during COVID year, so was probably less crowded than usual. Can imagine much more traffic and parking challenges during peak season. Reservations for diner are highly recommended on weekends.

    Hermosa beach has some of the best beach volleyball on earth...

    Hermosa beach has some of the best beach volleyball on earth. The strand has shopping and restaurants and bike rentals. It's one of my favorite cities on earth. Very outdoorsy city with lots of people walking, running, biking and just enjoying nature. Lots of stop signs so be patient driving around.

    Pros: great staff, excellent location, great f&b options nearby Hermosa beach was a pleasant surprise after the madness that was Venice beach, so we were off to a great start the moment we got there. The property is a literal stone's throw from the beach, and there's a great Mexican place right next door offering some of the best local fare. It's also close to a bike rental place with a wide range of choices. Shout out to the father-son duo who run the place -- very helpful folks, gave us some good recommendations!

    I loved my stay at SW Beach Hotel - Sandy was easily contactable and went over and above to make my stay as comfortable as possible! Location was fantastic to be able to walk to cafes, restaurants, shops and the beach is at the doorstep - right in the centre of town, but the room was incredibly quiet at night and amenities and the bedding extra comfortable to allow for a restful sleep! Thank you again !

    Being a few steps from the strand, the beach, the pier and restaurants was the major attraction. The renovations to the hotel were impressive and had a modern beachy vibe. The staff was super friendly. We were there on the night/morning or the super moon/total lunar eclipse, so being right there to watch the eclipsed moon setting over the ocean was priceless. The room was spacious.

    I loved how close it was to the beach & Hermosa pier. We met other family for lunch in Redondo & was so easy to just walk down the strand. We loved the historic feel of the place. Also it was laid back & easy to communicate with the hotel staff. Very close to so many restaurants. We were there for family in Torrance as well as Universal Studios, it was the best location.

    The location was perfect. Less than a block to the beach and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff was always friendly and professional. The room was bright, big, comfy, clean and new. The hotel provides beach towels every day. Easy on-site parking. Will definitely stay here again.

    It is a convenient location with a Starbucks, bank, and Trader Joe's several walking yards away next to the hotel. The king room was spacious with a desk and chair, mini fridge, pull out sofa, safe, flat screen TV and free internet. Commode and shower are separate from the sink and dressing area.

    Loved everything especially location - right on The Strand and the beach . We loved valet parking and that we could get beach chairs , towels, sand toys to go on the beach! We had a beautiful ocean view room and loved sitting out there with a drink just people watching . Will be back for sure!

    It's the perfect small hotel for a stay. Good beds, clean bathroom, great location. It has a nice TV and small fridge, desk for work, coffee maker, and even an iron. Free WiFi internet and complementary small breakfast. I think it has all you need for a great stay in Hermosa Beach,

    The property is in a good location. It’s beautiful and the scenery around sooo beautiful. The patio area is nice and comfy and the rooms are spacious and beautiful. It was also very clean. The staff was nice. This my 2nd year staying for my birthday.

    Good continental self service breakfast. Which was kept spotless. If you can book the sea front rooms in the main reception building, the view is fantastic. Nice kitchen area, fridge, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom.

    Nice location on border of Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, walking distance from the RB pier. The only negative thing about the location was the traffic noise on the Pacific Coast Highway.
