This hotel is grossly over-rated.. our room booked had few windows.. no ability to boil water.. parking was hugely inconvenient.. why should anyone hand over car keys so the hotel staff could move your vehicles around. Never again.. the best bit about this hotel was that Good Stuff was very close nearby for a proper breakfast & leaving after two nights was a blessing. Don't even think about it!

The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept.
The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Beautiful scenery! The one major drawback back is that the restrooms were closed all except the one by the pier and there are not enough of them along the beach.

Great place!
Great place! It's away from the city hussle, lots of places to go out and eat and drink at all times. The beach is perfect, also lots of volleyball fields for everyone to come and play. With a bike you can go all the way up to Santa Monica in a reasonable time.

Hermosa Beach is a great place for a 4 night stay if you enjoy a clean sandy beach, plentiful restaurants and bars, close proximity to nearby towns and beaches. We had a fabulous dinner at MB Post Restaurant in Manhattan Beach which is only about 10 min Lyft ride. Super easy to get around on foot or by bike. Parking can be a challenge, so make sure you have parking available at your hotel or your rental. We traveled in October during COVID year, so was probably less crowded than usual. Can imagine much more traffic and parking challenges during peak season. Reservations for diner are highly recommended on weekends.

Hermosa beach has some of the best beach volleyball on earth. The strand has shopping and restaurants and bike rentals. It's one of my favorite cities on earth. Very outdoorsy city with lots of people walking, running, biking and just enjoying nature. Lots of stop signs so be patient driving around.
Room was fairly spacious and had a nice balcony. Flat screen TV was huge. We were there for the Santa Cruz Triathlon and the Grandview is about a tenth of a mile from the transition area, so that's great for race morning. We've stayed in the ocean view rooms before and those are great, but the non-view rooms are fine too. The ocean is so close by and many restaurants in walking distance. We mostly walk to everything once we get there. Parking is free and its in a garage under the rooms, so very convenient.
We travelled to a few different places in California and this hotel was by far our favourite. Vibe and design was spot on. Rooms were spacious, well thought out, very clean and comfortable. Really liked having a balcony too. Jason on reception was super friendly and helpful. He helped sort us a taxi to LAX. I'd love to come back and stay at this hotel in Hermosa beach at a better time of year when the weather is better and the area is buzzing.
I loved how close it was to the beach & Hermosa pier. We met other family for lunch in Redondo & was so easy to just walk down the strand. We loved the historic feel of the place. Also it was laid back & easy to communicate with the hotel staff. Very close to so many restaurants. We were there for family in Torrance as well as Universal Studios, it was the best location.
Amazing location, only a block away from the Strand and the beach. Great location close to restaurants in Hermosa Beach. This is a brand new hotel and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff was friendly and offered suggestions about local restaurants. Overall a great experience and I'll definitely stay here again when visiting Hermosa or Manhattan Beach.
It was convenient to the beach, town, and our daughter's apartment. Breakfast was always nourishing. Good decaf! Parking inside. Nice, hot shower and clean towels. Rooftop patio. Hermosa Beach itself is very photogenic, colorful, with things to do for all ages. Took us only 25 minutes to get to the Getty in Santa Monica on a Sunday.
Lovely boutique modern hotel in the centre of Hermosa just a stone throw away from the beach. Lovely clean well equipped room with a little kitchen area.
Wonderful upstairs outdoor terrace with tables and fire pits. A beautiful chill place to relax after exploring beautiful California.
The staff were super lovely too xxx
The Location said 100 metres from the Beach and it was exactly where it said, and I was a littler concerned about booking a small boutique hotel, but the location appealed to me. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of the hotel, the owners and ll staff!! I'll be back Cheers Ray
The bar below us is well a bar.. 😂 but if you can sleep through it or sleep late it's cool I guess.
The beach is chillin. My view from my room is the ocean shore which for 50 bucks you just can't get here in LA..so they hit that with a win.
We loved the location, couldn’t be beat! Loved the size of our room and our balcony. Having parking under the hotel was invaluable and the reception clerk was thoughtful and kind! We felt very safe abs simply loved the spot on Hermosa Beach!
The hotel is super cute, right next to Hermosa Pier and downtown area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating and nice. We loved watching the sunset by the firepit outside. Highly recommend.
Nice location on border of Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, walking distance from the RB pier. The only negative thing about the location was the traffic noise on the Pacific Coast Highway.
The hotel isn’t too big and the location is amazing. They have a parking garage and a small, nice gym. Staff was polite. Room size is decent and the rooftop terrace is also nice.
the rooms are old and dark but very comfortable and big. breakfast typical American but with outside seating. good parking and walkable (15-20min) to the Hermosa beach.
