It was the strangest breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. It wasn’t bad just a very weird combination of non breakfast type food. No hot items either.

Problems with heating. And noise , was kept up the entire night thanks to some lovely couple. Emailed and text about this issue no answer to then phone and get told I would get emailed back and still have not. What a joke I paid £262 for one night and this is how you get treated.

Property, location, room, breakfast, housekeeping, F&B staff all were very polite and helpful. Reception was good too, just forgot to put the crib in the room but that was sent up shortly by housekeeping.

The cottage has the most beautiful gardens and the village is perfect with shop, pub, take away and a park perfect for the dog. Train to Edinburgh 300 yards down the road. Beach and Livingston short drive away. It has it all!
