How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No bar or restaurant so I don't know how it gets a four star rating. Not many bars or restaurants locally. No plugs at besides for phone charging
A reasonable walk from station. Clean and modern. Friendly staff, particularly men on reception.

Noise insulation, I could hear train noise and other guests also water in shower was not so hot.

The location is good for the station but a little further out for the main attractions. The shower was very small and it was difficult to stop it leaking onto the floor.
We booked a superior room and was given a family room with plenty of space. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly. We were able to leave our cases after check out which was a great help.

There was a bad smell of the drain in the bathroom although the bathroom was spotless.
We stayed here as we were attending a wedding meal tasting session on the outskirts of Florence where the catering co had their premises. It suited us just fine and we were very happy they had parking facilities on site. Their breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of food. The staff on reception were very pleasant and helpful and recommended several good restaurants.

Train station behind the hotel so it was nosy. As well strange outline of the room; shower in the room, but it was as it is on the photo. I was missing coffe machine in the room. Was expecting one, and did ask but they do not provide.

Its kind of noisy almost all the time. Next to train station.
Staff was very polite. Breakfast was very very good with a lot of choices. Parking is 20 euros per day..not expensive for prices in Florence. Room was very comfortable and big. 20 minutes walking from historical center.

I picked this motel for its proximity to Florence's main train station. I was happy with the distance from the train station. Very helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Great room

One of our rooms is facing the railway terminal, where trains run from 6am to mid night, it could be a little noisy esp if you are a light sleeper
The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is only a 5-minute walk from Fortezza da Basso, the exhibition site. The room facilities are clean and modern, with comfortable beds, hot showers, and a pleasant terrace. Additionally, breakfast is included and offers a wide variety of food options. One of our favorite features is the 24/7 coffee machine at the reception, which adds to the overall convenience and enjoyment of our stay.

Noisy neighbours, noisy trains, soundproofing needed!

very small shower space; if you have many luggages, be prepared to carry them for about 6-7 steps of stairs before you can ride the elevator. some staff were nice but there was one who carelessly charged us double for city tax. fortunately, we insisted that we have paid it already.
near the montelungo plaza where the klook bus takes off to go to the highlights of tuscany. the hotel was clean

Location was close to the train station but the main attractions/restaurants etc. were on the other side. Although there were restaurants in walking distance, I was a solo female traveler so I had to walk past the train station in the dark (groups of people congregating on steps which was a bit uncomfortable). That said there is public transport/taxis but for such a short distance I prefer to be able to walk safely.
Staff very helpful and a good breakfast. Good shower pressure/temperature. Reasonable value for money in Florence.
