How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful, and the breakfast/bar area was quite nice.The property was located close to lots of restaurants etc.

I booked the family room at this hotel as the photos showed a large living room with a three seater couch. There were two large windows with lovely views from the couch and the balcony and it was light and bright. We were initially given a room that was much smaller with a small two seater couch and the view was of a brick wall. I immediately complained but nothing else was available. After explaining my situation with my husbands injury they offered us another room the next day which was similar to the original photo and it worked really well for us as there was a bathroom downstairs as well. I would have liked a kettle.
The property is charming and well located near the archaeological museum which is an absolute must if you are travelling to Naples. It has a lovely courtyard where breakfast is served and drinks and snacks throughout the day and night. There are many restaurants nearby and walking distance to all the sites in the historical centre. Staff were extremely helpful in preparing food for my husband who had hurt his ankle so needed to rest in the room while we were there.

No laundry service.
The design of inside the facility is modern despite it in the old city area. The location is close to Old City attractions. Nice breakfast.

Room could have been a little larger.
Breakfast was terrific - quite a large spread and variety. Hotel location is close to busses and restaurants. We especially liked the courtyard.

The shower was set up so that if you weren't careful, the room would get wet.
The breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were clean and well laid out.

I spent a final night in Napoli at the Piazza Bellini Hotel and again very much enjoyed my experience. Stayed in room 607 on the top floor with its own patio and wonderful views of the city. Staff are incredible at the hotel and in the kitchen offering a plentiful breakfast to be enjoyed in the private interior garden. A terrific location. I'll be back.

The noises from interior building systems which may have been particular to my room.
The hotel is located in a palazzo from the late 1500's and is beautifully updated and renovated in a very minimal, modern way but quirky touches too. Interior garden is lovely, room was spacious but a little noisy.

Hidden gem in a central location. Lovely helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms with lovely views from hotel balcony. Perfect for a short stay and would visit again.

Nothing it was great. We would recommend this hotel.
Location and lovely courtyard which was perfect for relaxing in out of the sun. The hotel was also very quiet and calm. We really liked the position close to some really good restaurants, metro station and the Archaeological Museum. The buffet breakfast was very good.

There was a noisy leak of water from the toilet. The reception sent a plumber who fixed it in less than 2 hours.
A very helpful and kind staff at the reception, very large room. 1 minute walk from the historical center, good breakfast, The staff kept our luggage on the we checked out till the evening.
