Breakfast was nice and the chef was a delight to chat to, however would have loved more Japanese options (it more western/French style).

All of the staff were helpful, friendly and sweet. Great facilities, comfy beds, large room with lovely furniture. All you could need. In room massage was arranged as well.

Somewhat lower pricing would have been appreciated. The town was kind of dead during our visit, with just a few options for dinner.

Very small quibble, but wifi in the room was poor. Very good in the very pleasant communal area. Bring some eyeshades as the rooms are western-Japanese style with no curtains (non-see through Japanese windows/walls)

Very amenable to cycling, I stored my (hired elsewhere) bike.

Location was good with good public transport links. It was easy to rent a bike and the perfect place to cycle. The onsen is just beautiful and relaxing. The room was clean and just looked amazing. Staff were super friendly, would 100% recommend!

It could get a little cold at night, not much thermal insulation from the outside.

The room was spacious! Extreme comfortable. The bonfire was wonderful. Very helpful staff, sent my forgotten glasses to another specified hotel. Highly recommended and definitely stay again!

The room is a bit cold and cannot ventilate the air.

With two kids we had a great time there. Nice room condition and staff are also very genentle. The breakfast is simple and good enough. There are convience store and amazing izakaya nearby. We r willing to stay kona someday.

The bathroom was very cold, the parking place is bit far from hotel (if you left something in the car. You won’t want to go).

The room was big enough for family, and the private bathroom and Onsen can chooses by individual. Staffs are very helpful.

Friendly staff, rooms are big, the communal facilities are good, such as the onsen and nightly fire pit. Definitely try one of their bicycle tours around the Izu peninsula

Hotel parking is not on site, you have to walk about 5 minutes.

Ryokan with bike focus. We planned to rent e-Bike to travelling around town unluckily it was raining. We had to come back the other day to enjoy biking in this small town. They also have onsen right on spot for relaxing. Overall great experience.

There is very few free shuttle bus available from 伊豆长冈 train station to the hotel which is not very convenient for travelers with big luggage.

Loved everything about Kona Stay, beautiful rooms, lovely Onsen and showers, exceptional staff who were so helpful and great location to be able to walk to a great tourist attraction - the panorama cable car. A great stay for bike riders and tourist alike.
