The room’s walk way is slightly narrow but it’s not the problem. The pavement to the hotel quite bad for our luggages.

the bunk bed is good :D strong and wide, There are many power plugs to use. The bathroom is small but has a separate sink outside. The hotel’s decoration makes me want to stay longer. Common facilities are spacious and useful.

The AC is regulated by the admin and you are unable to adjust it, even in your room. In really hot days I believe this could be an issue for people who run hot. You may open the window but I felt it insufficient

Great place to stay. Room was very clean and calm so rest was great. There were available towels and toiletries without any additional cost. The place had plants of space to sit and a kitchen for you to make your breakfast/ dinner. There was also washing machines available (additional cost). Kyoto central was just a block away and there were plenty of restaurants and convenience stores close by.

so far so good i wish tune stay can have more choice of movies. i went to tune stay pretty often and i think i watched all the short movies.

the hotel has nice communal space for watching movies, kitchen and so many books to read. room also enough size and then the aisle area has good fragrance. Like woody fragrance.

Good filter coffee in the morning for 100yen (other free coffee available). Good Kitchen and washing facilities. Nice atmosphere and relaxing bar / book area in the evenings. The movies in the evening are an excellent idea / bonus for relaxing, I just wish we had been around to see more of them! The rooms are small, but not unusually so for Japan in general. We had two small and one medium suitcase and it wasn’t an issue to have them all open in the room.

This was the best hotel I stayed at in Japan. I loved the amiance of the hotel, the rooms were nice, average size for Japan (so small). Bed and pillow were comfortable, power and USB at the bed head which was convenient. Central aircon was also nice so you didn't have the sound of a single air con going all night. Staff were able to do luggage forwarding to Tokyo for me but was great. Location just around the corner from Kyoto station and on the bus lines was great! This hotel also has a wide range of Gins at their bar and do a little tasting, it was great, definitely try some local Gins if here.

This is complaining on a very high level - I mentioned that the downstairs area is cozy, the kitchen part is however a bit gray. It does look cool, don’t get me wrong, a tiny bit of warmth would be good though I think.

First of: the book wall does add a lot to this place. Downstairs there are couches, a well equipped kitchen, and many seats with outlets to do work at. It feels cozy. Staff are very friendly. My room was perfectly clean and had everything I needed. Of course it’s quite small but what do some people expect for this price in Japan? I stayed for 5 nights - one cool thing they offer you is to trade room cleaning for 2 canned drinks of your choice. I really liked the location - short walk to the subway, and fun to walk around the neighborhood.

Compact hotel but great location, the reception/ library/cinema is a great feature! definitely would recommend for a value for money exploration base whilst in Kyoto. you can book the big bath in the basement for free, a mini onsen experience

Room was very small. We made it work and it was good for us, but small.

The hotel facilities were amazing! Big common area with kitchen, bar, places to sit, movie nights etc. it had the best vibe and felt like a big fancy living room :) the room itself had everything we needed and was very clean. Location was great on a super cute street with a lot of restaurants.

Entirely too few washers and dryers for the number of guests staying, paired with no reservation system, means we frequently were not able to make use of the dryers and had to dry our clothes in our room.
