Sound isolation left a bit to be desired especially against sounds from outside. The hotel itself provides a decent minimum for a comfortable stay, but nothing beyond that. If you are just looking for a decent hotel to stay and don't need a lot of luxury this place is perfect.

Staff was friendly, some could speak really good english. Rooms were pretty decent. Lots of laundry machines and even a pretty cheap drink vending machine, which was very convenient. The location was really great, right next to the famous geisha street. Also really central in Kyoto so you where pretty much downtown with lots of things also well into the night.

The bathroom was smaller compared to our other hotels. I felt very claustrophobic. We were on the second floor so we heard some people talking walking by but nothing too crazy.

Great location! It was near stores, restaurants, bus stops, and train stations. The hotel provided everything we needed. The front desk was very helpful. They also let us check in early. They also store your baggage for free.

The bathroom was quite small in which I need to carefully move to avoid smashing into wall. It is located right next to street so if you don't close the curtain, you might see people walking pass by frequently. My bed was the extra bed and quite small, not really comfortable to move.

Location was really great, right next to shopping street and also have family mart near the hotel. There are also 2 nearby train station which helps me to reach my destination easily. The room was great and there're large space to open suitcase.

Great location in the Gion district. We stayed for five nights and enjoyed the convenience and easy access. The room was large and the beds firm but comfortable. Everything was clean and there is a laundry downstairs which is the cheapest around. Staff were available when needed and some had English language skills.

The mattress and pillows were a bit hard and bathroom was typical Japan sized bathrooms but even with this I would come back if its a short stay since I will mostly care about location rather than room size and such

Location is great, but the room is quite dated but its justifiable since the price wasn't high. But if the price was higher, then it might be hard to give it a high rating since the mattress and bathroom were pretty dated. You can open the window though and during cooler times its great cool ventilation. Would come back if the price is right because the price is very reasonable.

Carpet smelled damp and musty on the first day.

The location is perfect. Near the stations, the sights. Neighborhood is so charming. In the middle of historic gion. Small restaurants abound as well as souvenir shops. Rooms are really big given that it is japan Shower room is separate from toilet. Big and soft beds There is laundry ironing area and microwave at first floor and not tourist prices for the drinks dispensers We loved the staff, polite helpful and patient. Just an advice, bring pajamas and lotion, these are not provided.

The hotel and laundry facilities are pretty old, especially the dryer, no microwave in the room, only one iron for the whole hotel

The pajamas are not readily available in the room. I would've preferred that it was in the room, not something to ask for.

Price was affordable due to the long stay. Not so many facilities, though. But the staff was still kind and helpful. Adequate enough if you're in a tight budget. All necessities required are available.

The room was a little bit smelly (of dust), just like the entire fourth floor of the hotel.

The staff was nice and helpful. The Inn was very close to the main attractions of the city center. Also close to train stations and bus stops. Restaruants and supermarkets were close as well.

Central location, comfortable bed, decent sized bed for couple. Room was bigger than usual as they had two chairs and a small round table. Friendly staff.
