  • MOGANA Review score: 10

“The breakfasts were incredible, the bed was very comfortable and the room was slick, modern and stylish. 10/10 would recommend this property. I thought the price, comparable to other hotels of this quality and service level in Japan, was pretty competitive also.”

  • Nihonkan Review score: 6

“Overall the place is nice, very traditional. Room was quite big, with a futons instead of beds, but these were quite comfortable. Rooms were cleaned every day and whole place was very clean. Don't be surprised with a bathroom - these are shared, onsen-style instead of private baths. There is only 1 private shower, but it's available only for 2-3 hours. The location is great, in the center of Kyoto.”

  • Oakwood Hotel Oike Kyoto Review score: 9

“Everything was great. The breakfast was mid-Japanese, mid-Western, which was nice”

  • Glansit Kyoto Kawaramachi Review score: 10

“I loved that the lockers are outside the room, so there was no noise. Bed was comfortable, place was clean and they had everything you need for a comfortable stay, like shampoo, crems, clothes spray, hair dryer. Its also very well located.”

  • Stay SAKURA Kyoto SUZAKU OJI Review score: 10

“Its tidiness, quietness and indoor decoration. The lovely location and the convenience of the check-in/out system. And above all, the congenial staffs we met in the reception.”

  • “The entrance of the hotel is gorgeous! Also the bathroom separated from the toilets was really convenient. And the tatami experience was pretty cool.”

  • “The Royal Park Hotel is well situated in Kyoto. There are plenty of bus stops around the corner that connect you with all important sights in the city. Additionally, there is the Sanjo Station with two metro lines (4 minutes walking distance, approx. 400 meter). There are several restaurants in the vicinity and the entrance to Potocho Alley is 5 minutes away. The Sanjo Meiten-gai Shopping Arcade with a lot of restaurants can be reached in 2 minutes; Nishiki Market is also very close (10 minutes by foot). There are several convenience stores along the street. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. There was an issue with our room that they took care of immediately. We receive a room upgrade we very much appreciated. Our new room (Deluxe double room) was located in the upper levels with a front street view. The room matched the descriptions and pictures advertised. There was a big window that allowed for unobstructed views over the houses opposite the hotel. The window could not be opened but there is a spot of ventilation to the outside. Even though the room was facing a big street the room was super quiet. The room was quite big, and there was enough space under the beds to store our luggage. Both beds were super spacious, however, a bit hard. Front desk staff assited us with additional bedding to soften the matress. Overall, we slept quiet well. The airconditioning worked well and did not distrub our sleep. The bathroom of the Deluxe double room was the best we had during our trip. It was very spacious with a separated shower/bathtub area. The shower was super nice; we loved the water power. There was a small fridge, water kettle, cups and glasses provided. In addition, there were several amenities (coffee powder, tea, shower gel, shampoo etc.). The daily cleaning of the room was very appreciated.”

  • THE L.A. MART HOTEL KYOTO Review score: 10

“Helpful and caring front-desk reception, lots of amenities; on par with Japanese hotel chains.”

  • Rihga Gran Kyoto Review score: 9

“I like the room faculties It is so convenient, i can do almost everything in the hotel”

  • Ohanabo Review score: 9

“The service quality and attitude of all staff are excellent, this must be a good model of how Japanese people treat and respect their guests at a very nice, convenience way. So impressive, they think about detail things too to make our stay comfortable and homey. Breakfast was really nice. Common bath is also good to heal the fatique after long day out there especially when the weather out was chilly cold. Location is so good, in the center but still very quiet. In front of Ohanabo there was a nice big shrine to start our exploration of cozy, beautiful, culturistic Kyoto. Definitely recommended.”
