In just a 200 meters from the hotel there is a bazaar with great smelling herbs and sweets. I would recommend to take a taxi to Harput Castle, it’s 20 minutes. The water dam is almost 1 hour, with the taxi it’s gonna cost you just 700/800 TL. Conclusion; do not only use Elazig Airport as a stop over, but stay at least two nights in the New Marathon Hotel and enjoy the staff and the city.
